Crafted in Denmark by cabinetmaker Rud Egon Leo Arne Gunnar Buus Nielsen, this mid-century oak display cabinet features detailed hand-carving, arched glass doors with original brass escutcheons, and two carved drawers above an open base shelf. The standout detail is a hidden drawer, that is revealed on the the drawers are opened and a small peg on the interior of the cabinet is lifted. On the underside of the drawer, the maker left an inscription in Danish noting his name, birthplace, and materials used—including a lock dated to 1841.
Constructed from solid oak with traditional joinery, this piece is both functional and historically significant.
