Created in 1957, this elegant Saarinen Tulip Table embodies the thought and theory behind one of the 20th century\'s great architects.  Constructed of cast aluminum, the Saarinen table flows from top to bottom, and from side to side in a sweeping exchange of lines. 

Eero Saarinen was one of the most important industrial designers and architects of the 20 century.  His father\'s influence led to his design philosophy of the \"total environment\", or that architecture comprises more than just the building.  To Saarinen, it includes the furnishings, lighting, and landscape as well.  

Our Saarinen Tables are Italian-made reproductions of the original Saarinen Tulip table. Absolute attention is paid to the workmanship of the tops and bases creating a modern classic meant to last for years. The cast aluminum Saarinen Table base is available with a durable epoxy finish in matte white or black, glossy white or black, or matte silver. The Saarinen table base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. The Saarinen tulip table top is available in a wide variety of marbles, travertines, and laminates. Marble Saarinen Tulip Tabletops are protected with a natural wax or a protective polyester film.
