These rustic log ring stools have a multitude of possible uses. They make for a charming side table, mini garden stool for convenient outdoor seating or just that extra chair when you have family round. A cute coffee table perhaps, a foot stool or a plant display table. Constructed from a thick log slice, each stool keeps the unique size and shape of the tree from which it was cut. The surface of the stool can be engraved with a name or phrase to give it a more personal touch. They make a lovely personalised step stool or customised gift for a loved one.

These log stools are handcrafted by Damien Devereux who is registered blind, with over 5 years experience as a carpenter. All wood is kiln-dried timber, sourced from a local sustainable woodland. Kiln dry wood is much more stable and unlikely to warp as it ages.

My stools come in four different sizes that determine both their height and diameter. The diameter of the log ring is approximate and will vary based on the tree. If you require specific sizes then please get in touch. To ensure their durability for outdoor use, the stools can be treated with Exterior Oil to bring out the grain and protect the wood, though it will need re-coating once a year. An optional hardier coating of varnish is also available for added protection and a smoother finish which will not need re-coating unless damaged. This would be the best option if you intend for the stool to be permanent patio decor / patio furniture.

Any cracks from the drying process have been filled using Epoxy resin and some of the wood slices have been fully coated. This will ensure structural and environmental durability of the stools. The bark is not always present because it sometimes comes loose during the kiln process and construction. The poles used to make the legs may also contain drying splits but these are not detrimental to their strength.If you would like the stool engraved then please specify the name/message when you order.
