This is a natural padparadcha sapphire from Sri Lanka. Padparadcha means \"lotus blossom\", and speaks to the unique peachy-pink color. They are natural in composition and color.
This little tear shaped padparadcha is 3.3 x 5.10mm and weighs .31ct. The little charm sits on a super fine cable chain with a lobster claw clasp. The chain can be worn at either 16 or 18\". Because of the heft of the clasp, I can\'t guarantee it won\'t roll forward. If you are layering it, a trick is to clasp the necklace to the clasp of another ;). The metal is all solid 14k gold.
This is a minimalist piece--I want to stress that. The pictures enlarge everything for detail. It\'s a piece you can live in--and wonderful for a September birthday.
