HOT ! Quatrefoil Necklace

A pine needle basket pendant, stitched from white pine needles from my garden with delicate brass wire, on a hand-fabricated brass setting of overlapping circles to make a quatrefoil.

The quatrefoil symbol has been used all over the world in many cultures, going back to prehistoric times.

This pendant can be worn either with the pine needle basket at the front, or with the overlapping brass circles at the front. 

The pine needles have been sealed with resin to make them durable.

The pendant is sewn to a double braid, hand-loomed on a Japanese kumihimo braiding loom, from Icelandic wool from the flock at a local farm.  

The braid is about 35 inches long, with the additional length that wraps around the base of the pendant. The pendant is about 5 inches long and 4 inches wide.
