DESCRIPTION: A superb and high quality antique Victorian solid silver collar necklace, with its original clasp and central locket/pendant bail. The necklace is a fine example of its type, crafted to an exquisite standard. It has has good solid weight to it, weighing a total of 54.76g. It measures approx. 42cm or 16.5\" in unfastened. As to be expected with the items age it isn\'t stamped/hallmarked, it tests for high grade silver (800+). PLEASE NOTE: The majority of this necklace is solid silver, it looks like it has had some extra scalloped links cast and attached at some point in it\'s life. 3 of these links are made from solid silver and 4 of them are silver plated. Most people probably wouldn\'t be aware that these links have been added as it\'s been done to a good standard. The replacement links are slightly thinner in depth than the originals, see pictures 10 & 11.
