HOT ! French Silver 2 Tone Open Face Cylinder Pocket Watch

Up for sale is beautiful silver & gold tone open face PW, unsigned bar type movement with cylinder escapement, watch is in running condition but accuracy not timed, a SOLD-AS-IS item! Please refer to all the photos.

DESCRIPTION:

Year : 19th Century

Size : 45mm, excluding stem.

Case : Probably silver, gold plated bezel, engine tuning back cover with decorative a bird and tree in the middle. It has a hinged cuvette, back & front bezel and all works fine, case closure shut tightly, cuvette marked \"Cylinder 6 rubies N° 66120\", the gold tone on bezel is almost fade out due to ages, nickel inner cover with oxidation, the pendant bow seems NOT original,  dirty with normal wear and marks.

Crystal : Glass but NOT original, seems it was glued to the bezel.

Dial : Original white enamel dial with few dirt and stains, small chips at the second hand position, very faint hairline at 41 minutes position, one foot of the dial is broken. Extremely beautiful and elegant hands but the hour hand is damaged, blue steel seconds hand. Black Roman numerals with outer scale and subsidiary seconds dial.

Movement : Key wind key set unsigned gilt bar movement, cylinder escapement with 6 jewels, running condition but accuracy not timed, gold balance and balance staff is OK. (Does NOT comes with key)

Overall a beautiful & elegant pocket watch with quality movement, believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after cleaning, replacing a suitable glass and restoration of the hour hand.
