HOT ! Through the Veil Darkly Skull Face Slider Necklace

I carved this skull face in wax, hollowed out the inside of the skull and cast it using the lost wax casting method in Sterling Silver.

This Through the Veil Darkly Skull Face Pin was inspired by my Skull Ring series. For a while in the process, I was carving skulls in my sleeping dream state! If this one could tell you something super important you forgot in your dreams, it sure would.

Once I had the wax where it looked right, I made a mold and can inject the mold with wax to make a Through the Veil Darkly Skull Face Pin for you! I cast it in sterling silver after a 14-hour burnout cycle by pouring molten sterling silver into the hollow burnout out flask. Once cooled and quenched, I clean it up and file and smooth the inside , oxidize the outside and brush up the high points for the details in the metal to show before affixing to the chain.
