Reinterpretation of the Original Adirondack Chair

BOXHILL\'s Modern Concrete Chair Carbon Edition is a contemporary reinterpretation of the original Adirondack chair, introduced in 1903. Emphasizing ergonomics, clean lines, and honest materials, this chair is comprised of natural, non-biodegradable materials that will age and patina with time. The shell is hand-cast in a composite concrete that yields a durable, lightweight result.

The Carbon Edition features a custom dark charcoal cast concrete seat and a Matte Black Powder-Coated Base. 

The steel base is cut, fitted, and welded by hand, one chair at a time. Afterwards, it receives a protective wax finish. The Modern Concrete Chair\'s thoughtful design includes a removable base and seat drainage via a cast-in copper drain aperture.
