This stunning oriental dining table is made from solid poplar wood, finished in a sleek black lacquer. It is based on a design from China\'s Qing dynasty and has a central section that can be removed, allowing it to comfortably seat either six or eight people. The table\'s apron has the shallow \'S\' shaped stretchers that are commonly seen on antique Chinese tables, while above these are some beautiful carvings of flowers and scroll designs - typical of Qing pieces. The scroll effect is repeated on the feet and at the top of each leg. This is a wonderful piece that will add a luxurious, opulent feel to any dining room. Note that we can also make alternative sizes on request. We have also produced similar tables in a round or oval design as part of our made to order service.
