Our artisans carefully harvest the wool fibers and clean them with a natural soap made from the amole root. Once the fibers are clean and dry, they are hand-carded and spun into yarn on a spinning wheel. The yarns are then hand-dyed with pigments of natural origin, dried, and prepared for the traditional pedal loom.

These sustainable, organic, and environmentally friendly techniques have been passed down from generation to generation since pre-Hispanic times. The dyes are obtained entirely naturally, and the artistry demonstrates a deep respect for nature.

Our rugs feature traditional Zapotec patterns or modern designs and are suitable as both floor rugs and decorative wall hangings.
