Young Aloeswood trees don\'t have any fragrance; however, as the tree ages, interaction with bacteria begins to produce an aromatic resin. With time, the scent and tree grow and age to create a very rich, dark resin with a distinctive and lovely fragrance. The main ingredient in this incense is \"Kyara\" and this is the name given to the highest quality of Aloeswood as it has a dual meaning as, \'precious\'. Kyara has a deeper and stronger aroma than typical Aloeswood, and is the most precious aromatic resin in the world and more expensive per ounce than gold.
