Named after the goddess Hecate, two owl talons cast in sterling silver form a crescent moon, reimagined with the points of the moon facing up, representing the diadem she is occasionally depicted as wearing in art history. This crescent crown speaks to her role as a Goddess of the Moon.

Considered one of the ancient goddesses, (and in some tales), the only Titan allowed to retain her authority after the Olympians seized control, Hecate is a triple faced goddess associated with the moon, witchcraft, the Underworld, specters and the dead. She is also well known as the Goddess of crossroads, symbolically viewed as the liminal space between worlds. Because of these attributes, she has an ability to accept the strange and shadowy nature of people, making her a personal favorite of mine.
