Copenhagen-based designer Tobias Birk Nielsen joins forces with Argentinian silversmiths Oss for a collection of handmade accessories. Inspired by the limits of human strength, ‘UNDR TH SKN’ offers 8 disparate pieces crafted from oxidized sterling silver. Oss’s core designs center around rugged interpretations of classic jewelry, like bangles, necklaces and rings — Birk Nielsen’s wearable sensibilities blend with the Paris-based craftspeople to inform the collection with equal parts versatility and textural intrigue. Bracelets, rings and chains boast finishes recalling burnt metal, both upping the visual interest and playing down silver’s inherent sheen, with raw slices taken from the body of each, creating dynamic peaks and valleys on each item.
