An unusual solid silver heart necklace with knotwork loosely based on the Celtic tradition of metalworking patterns produced possibly by the Celts hundreds of years ago around Gower. The design is loosely based on the pillar stone located in the church of St Cenydd in Llangennith, Gower. The stone is of ancient origin possibly marking the grave of St Cennydd. The old stone walled church was founded in the sixth century and later destroyed and burnt according the Welsh chronicles by the Danes in the year 986. Stories passed through the ages say that when the vikings attacked the village of Llangennith , some of the local villagers ran down to the beach and cut the mooring ropes of the Dane\'s ships and set them alight.
This collection of Celtic designs by Pa-pa. Pa-pa celebrates the history and culture of Gower where 50% of the cost will be donated to the Llangennith church restoration fund where the old patterned pillar stands.
