Restore Salve Contains:

Grass-fed and Finished Tallow- Tallow and human skin are incredibly compatible. Grass-fed tallow contains essential vitamins that help your skin perform a host of functions that help it maintain a healthy state. These nutrients are an easy-to-absorb source of nourishment to the skin that simply aren\'t matched by plants in terms of concentration and bioavailability. Jojoba Oil- Jojoba is softening and moisturizing to the skin. It\'s a liquid wax that closely matches our skin\'s sebum. It’s nonallergenic, noncomedogenic, gentle and doesn\'t easily oxidize. Learn more about jojoba here. 

Calendula is a nourishing and restorative herb that is great for use on scars and wounds.

Lavender maintains a healthy microbial balance and can improve skin’s health by increasing collagen production and soothing irritated skin.

Frankincense is often used for damaged and dry skin because of its astringent properties.

Tamanu works to increase the skin’s elasticity and helps to reduce marking, dryness, swelling and more. It contains antioxidants and is used in many anti-aging creams for its regenerative properties.

Comfrey also promotes elasticity of skin and is a great moisturizer, helping to prevent marking. It is also used to prevent and lessen permanent skin damage. It contains allantoin, which boosts the growth of new skin cells.

Plantain has an astringent property that can be used for inflammation of the skin, insect bites, sunburns, pain relief and long-term skin damage. It’s a good detox herb and helps with sensitive skin.

Gotu Kola is popular among anti-aging and scar treatment creams for its incredible collagen-boosting power. We use organically grown or wildcrafted whole herb parts and infuse them in our oils to capture a broader spectrum of the plants beneficial constituents. Learn more about these herbs here.

Texas Tallow products contain no preservatives or stabilizers, so if placed in a warm environment they may melt, causing separation. This is normal and does not cause any change in the product, simply mix gently and store in a cool place. Additionally, if placed in a cool environment they may be more firm.
