Aromatic Usages - Whole leaf sage incense for smudging.

Aroma - Strong musky aroma.

Cosmetic Usages - An infusion of the leaves is said to straighten hair when used as a final rinse. 

Culinary Usages - White sage leaves can be used to make tea (steeping one leaf is enough!), but keep in mind that the flavor is quite strong.

Unlike common garden sage, white sage is not the variety that you want to use to season stuffing. This is the smudging herb that Native Americans traditionally use for ceremony and ritual. The leaves are dried and either smoldered over hot coals or they are rolled and tied with thread to make smudge sticks.

American Indians consider this type of sage to be the king of all sages, and use it in smudging ceremonies. It is said that smudging sage removes negative energy from a person, clears the mind, and relaxes the body.
