HOT ! Razai Sham Weave in Parakeet

The Razai Sham is designed to keep individuals cool in summer and warm in winter. This was done by hand-quilting, varying the volume of cotton between two layers of the finest mil. The modern day version is adapted with a single layer of cotton padding held in place by hand-sewing which traditionally goes in circles or straight lines to mimic the movement of sand.

The print is where we make this tradition our own! The heritage print of the poppy is a flower that symbolizes celebration in Indian culture; we’ve combined this with a modern stripe to give our quilts a fresh contemporary look. Each layer of color is hand-blocked individually, and we are only able to produce a few pieces each day.

We’re excited to share this joyful new collaboration with SZ Blockprints, a Lisbon-based line of handblock-printed linens. The limited-edition assortment combines signature SZ patterns with Dana’s hand-drawn prints, celebrating their shared love of Indian hand-blocked textiles through bright, cheerful designs.

The capsule includes 100% organic cotton quilts and shams, along with a fresh take on SZ’s cult-favorite “Disco Pant” featuring two custom prints: a whimsical Poppy floral and a playful stripe. Known for her vibrant use of color and layered coastal interiors, Dana brings her textile-forward design sensibility to this collection. 

Each piece is crafted in India using centuries-old handblock printing techniques—honoring the artisanal roots at the heart of both brands—and designed to bring vibrancy, ease and comfort to the spaces we live (and the outfits we love).
