Details

This natural palm basket with a leather handle is dressed in a piece knitted in 100% cotton and hand-embroidered. Inner canvas bag with a leather tie closure and a leather label on the inner pocket.

Materials: knitted piece in 100% cotton and embroidered in the same material; Background color - green; Embroidered in orange, red, yellow, cream, pink and blue; Leather details; Recycled canvas inner bag 70% cotton/30% viscose; Leather label and a black hand strap.

Height: 18 cm, Width: 34 cm. Fringes: 28 cm. Strap (maximum length): 1,12 m. These measurements may undergo slight changes, both in height and width, as the basket is a completely handcrafted piece.

\"Lenço dos namorados\" or \"Lover\'s handkerchief\" is originally from Minho, Portugal - 17th century. Young women embroidered cotton or linen handkerchiefs with messages and symbols and offered them to boys. If the boy wore the handkerchief publicly it meant that he reciprocated the feelings. If he returned, the courtship did not begin. We embroidered the words \"saudade\" and \"amor\" hoping you\'ll reciprocate our feelings too!
