A striking pair of original lounge chairs, designed by Jaroslav Smidek, Made in Czechoslavakia, c. 1960s. These sculptural chairs are celebrated examples of post-war Czech modernism, combining angular architectural lines with a relaxed, low-profile seat. The frames are crafted from solid stained beechwood and the seats are upholstered in a rich pomegranate soft textured fabric. Nice vintage condition with some wear from age and use, as pictured (some fading, a few small frayed areas as shown in the pictures). Original factory control labels present underneath the chairs. Price is for the pair.
