Nativity Set #2 - Five-pieces - Three Shepherds and Two Sheep

\"Following the release of our nativity figurines in 2021 starting with May, Joseph, the Christ Child, and an Angel, the collection is now being extended. With their distinctive flat arms and flowing hair, the three Shepherds exude a charm all of their own and form a most engaging trio. They are accompanied by two Sheep produced by ring turning, a technique practiced only in the Erzgebirge and nowhere else in the world. Their thick woolly fleeces are made from fine wood shavings.

This now nine-part nativity scene, which will be further expanded in the coming years, ensures that the true spirit of Christmas is kept alive during the festive season.

A very special design from Wendt and Kühn\'s grand design legacy returns to the collection in October 2021 - the nativity scene. Grete Wendt\'s design of 1910/11, before she even founded Wendt and Kühn, was way ahead of its time. Its straight lines and minimalist style are akin to the language of form we would have expected from the artists of the Bauhaus in 1919. Simple yet with a richness of detail the figures give this extraordinary group magnificent character and history.\" - WK
