Thoughtful details like tight-back upholstery, turned walnut legs, and a solid spindle back highlight the wood’s natural grain and meticulous joinery, ensuring the piece is as beautiful from behind as it is from the front. The angled back provides extra support, while plush cushions balance structure with an invitingly soft sit. For added comfort, the seat cushion is upholstered directly to the frame, while the back cushion remains separate.

Hand-built by skilled artisans in North Carolina, the Montauk Chair is fully bench-made, a process in which a single skilled artisan builds the piece from start to finish. This rare approach ensures exceptional quality, thoughtful detail, and a timeless design made to last for generations. 

Available in premium leather and our exclusive Saja Sheepskin design. Saja Sheepskin is offered in three naturally undyed melange colorways, (Warm White, Grey, and Brown) each made from a blend of unbleached furs with their own natural variations in tone, texture, and length.
