HOT ! Ole Wanscher, Danish leather and Mahogany lounge chair for A.J. Iversen, 1940s

Leather and Mahogany lounge chair designed by Danish design legend Ole Wanscher for master cabinetmaker A.J. Iversen in the late 1940s. It consists of the original black leather on a solid Mahogany frame. The leather has a very nice patina which made it partly brown on top of the back rest. The whole chair is in a very honest, patinated and nice vintage condition with normal ware consistent with age and use. This example is for someone who loves the patinated look and don\'t want their mid-century pieces to look brand new. The leather on the armrests have been replaced with matching vintage leather. The springs in the seat has been lightly restored and the webbing on the underside is brand new.
