One of Jindřich Halabala\'s most iconic bentwood armchairs introduced in 1935 during a period of experimentation and new techniques for mass production. This pair of Model 237 is fully restored with classic bentwood arms in dark-stained beech was designed to be stylish and functional. Square front legs are offset by sculpted back legs supporting a separate deep seat cushion and shaped back. Recently updated in a bright creamy yellow wool upholstery. Produced at his factory. UP Závody (United Arts and Crafts Manufacture), Czech, late 1930s.
