The Ashima Horizon Blade was developed in collaboration with Ashima Shiraishi over two years of iterative testing, focusing on lens geometries optimized for outdoor climbing. Utilizing a 6-base frame construction, the frame incorporates extended peripheral lens coverage for enhanced visual protection. The lens design features four strategically placed ventilation holes near its center, engineered to improve airflow and reduce fogging under dynamic conditions. The 125mm temples are specifically constructed to accommodate helmet use, making the frame suitable for climbing and cycling applications. Adjustable nose pads and temple tips ensure a secure, personalized fit, reinforced with a grade 2 titanium core in the temple tips for added strength. Our signature D+ therapeutic-grade lenses are crafted from a shatterproof polycarbonate compound. The interior surfaces feature anti-reflective and oleophobic coatings, providing comprehensive eye protection while repelling water and oil. D+ Onyx Mirror was developed for physical pursuits requiring maximum sun protection. The mirror coating facilitates additional infrared screening. The lens offers 100% UVA/B protection while transmitting 16.19% of visible light and 15.99% of blue light.
