HOT ! Desert Sand Floral Kantha Quilt

Our new range of throws uses the technique of ‘Kantha’ – a running stitch, one of the oldest forms of Indian embroidery, which was traditionally used in West Bengal and Bangladesh.

The throws are 100% printed cotton and are embellished with lines of running stitches. A standard blanket double, they are perfect for sofas or as bedspreads, bringing an injection of colour, print and texture to a room.

Here at Dovecote we use them as stunning tablecloths.

This earthy desert sand coloured kantha quilt has a stunning array of bold stylized spiky flowers in blues, burnt oranges, reds and cream. The running stitches are light red and white and add beautiful depth to the design. The backing is a dark yellow which brings out the colourful running stitches.
