The Camber series by Paul Coenen emerged from the concept of crafting furniture from a single sheet of metal. The design centers around the angle of the seats, with each cut and fold following a precise 5-degree angle.
Beginning with a flat rectangle, two angle cuts are made. The first three folds are machine-made lengthwise, while the legs are hand-bent to the final angle.
Paul Coenen’s work reflects an intuitive and practical approach, driven by his fascination with materials and a blend of modern and traditional techniques. The design is a direct result of the material and method, creating a simple yet refined aesthetic.
