HOT ! Vintage Modernist 1930s Bauhaus Style Plywood Chair

This highly unusual plywood chair is an absolute showstopper and sure to be the focal point of any room.The sculptural form together with the strong angles and moulded oversized curved plywood are a perfect combination and are designed to perfection.We unfortunately don\'t know the designer of this wonderful chair and have contacted numerous experts of this type of furniture to no avail. It has a very Gerrit Rietveld feel to it, especially with the back view of the base, with clear influence taken from the Bauhaus designers of the early 20th Century.What we do know however is that the chair was made by a very skilled hand and is of beautiful quality, a stunning and unique piece of furniture to enhance any home.In lovely condition after some restoration from Wynn Griffiths and Tarr, with some light wear commensurate with age and as photographed.Measures approximately 66cm wide, 69cm deep and 114cm tall with a seat height of 32cm.All of our prices include VAT, please get it touch if you require a VAT receipt.
